I just found out about your loss. Please know that my heart goes to both of you. As you well know, your father was a true character, in every sense of the phrase. I remember well and will always cherish the many hours hanging around the Gordon house, learning to play Bridge with your mom and hanging out in your living room, your dad sitting in a chair, one eye on the latest game results on TV

I can still see your dad walking down the street, hat cocked at an angle on his head. He would always greet me with a wide grin and a hearty handshake. Washington has definitely lost an original personality.

Both he and your mom were always kind and welcoming to me and I will forever be grateful for their impact on my life.
