Merle 'Bud' Truelove Jr., age 66, of Vincennes passed away at 11:10PM at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville with his loving family by his side.
He was born May 11, 1945 in Washington to Betty Jean (Padgett) and Merle Truelove Sr. He Attended West End Graded School, was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School, served three years with the US Army 101st Airborne Division. Upon discharge from the Military he hired in at NSWC Crane and reached the rate of R.R. Engineer before he retired with a disability. He was an independent insurance agent for many years. He worked for Vincennes Community School Corporation for many years as an extra curricular activity bus driver, taking students to Florida, Chicago, St. Louis and several other places in-between and was a Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Golf Coach reaching state finals twice.
He first married Donna Lee Wilson in 1962 and she passed away in 1965. He then married Janet K. Goodwin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Steven Grant Truelove.
He is survived by one son Steve Truelove one daughter, Rebecca Truelove; five grandchildren, one brother Billy Truelove from Harrison Ohio, two sisters, Sandra Gwaltney and Cindy Reddick from Washington.
Visitation is 4to 8 Wednesday Funeral 10:30 am Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
